Terms of Use
Last updated: October 1, 2026Welcome to Tillevent! These terms govern your use of the app. They're here so everyone can go out, meet people and feel safe.
1. Who we are and acceptance
Tillevent is operated by Julien Romary, doing business as Tillevent, in Montréal, Québec. By creating an account, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, please don't use the app.
2. Who can use Tillevent
- You must be 18 or older.
- One account per person, in your own name. Fake profiles and impersonation are not allowed.
- The information you provide must be accurate.
3. Your account
You sign in with a code sent to your email address. You are responsible for the security of your mailbox and for actions taken from your account. Let us know right away if you think someone accessed it without your permission.
4. Organizing and joining outings
- Outings are posted by users themselves or by our partners. Tillevent does not organize outings, does not verify users' identities and is not present on site.
- If you host an outing, you agree to provide accurate information, follow the law and the rules of the venue, and cancel in the app if you can no longer host it.
- If you join an outing, show up or leave it in time to free your spot.
5. Staying safe when meeting people
- Meet in public places, especially the first time.
- Tell someone close to you where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Plan your own transportation and keep your phone charged.
- Trust your instincts: you can leave at any time.
- Report any inappropriate behaviour in the app.
You are responsible for your decisions and your safety. Some activities (sports, outdoor activities, etc.) involve risks: make sure they suit your condition.
6. Community rules: zero tolerance
It is strictly forbidden to post, send or do, on Tillevent or during an outing:
- harassment, bullying, threats or violence;
- hateful or discriminatory content;
- sexual content, nudity or unwanted advances;
- promotion of illegal or dangerous activities;
- scams, spam, or unauthorized advertising or commercial solicitation;
- another person's personal information without their consent;
- any attempt to bypass the app's security, scrape its data or disrupt it.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (outings, photos, messages). You grant us a free, non-exclusive, limited, worldwide licence to host, display and distribute this content for the sole purpose of operating Tillevent. This licence ends when the content or your account is deleted. You confirm you have the right to post this content, including photos.
8. Reports and moderation
You can report an outing or a message, and block someone, directly in the app. We review reports as quickly as possible. If these terms are broken, we may remove content, or suspend or delete an account, without notice when community safety requires it.
9. Partners and bookings
Partner businesses and organizations may post events on Tillevent. When a booking or purchase is made on a partner's website, it is governed by that partner's terms: Tillevent is not a party to that transaction.
10. The service
Tillevent is currently free. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service. We do our best to keep it available and safe, but cannot guarantee it will work without interruptions or errors.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tillevent is not responsible for users' behaviour, or for how outings or events posted by users and partners unfold. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Québec's Consumer Protection Act or any other law of public order.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Tillevent and delete your account at any time, from the app (Profile > Delete my account). See also Delete your account.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a significant change, we will let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Tillevent afterwards, the new terms will apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of Québec courts, subject to your rights as a consumer.
15. Language
These terms are written in French. This English version is provided for your convenience; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
